Thorough inspection and testing of plant systems from the main equipment items, process and services pipework, electrical and control systems is conducted to ensure the desired design performance criteria is met.

Our commissioning services team have supported numerous process and power projects such as the Anhydrous Ammonia Plant commissioning as part of the Selective Catalytic Reaction project at Ratcliffe Power Station in the East Midlands of the UK.

Our team fully understands the importance of completing the work safely, to the highest standards, quickly. We work diligently with detailed planning to provide our clients a rapid ramp up.

The main activities for a successful plant commissioning include:

  • Review of the plant P&ID’s (piping and instrumentation diagrams)
  • Development of robust testing and operational procedures
  • Review of equipment lists and plant design
  • Preparation and development of a commissioning manual
  • Development and review of equipment list
  • Scope P&IDs (identify commissionable systems)
  • Develop commissioning schedule
  • Review and input into the construction schedule
  • Generate detailed commissioning plan
  • Integrate within the Construction handover process, inspections and
  • Documentation sign-off
  • Perform sufficient pre-commissioning tests
  • Commissioning handover, inspection and documentation
  • Perform trials and scale-up (commissioning assistance operations).
